E-library set-up at eight schools of Myagdi



Babiyachour, Myagdi, May 7

E-library has been set-up at eight schools of Myagdi district with the support of migrant Nepalis.

Myagdi Overseas Nepalese Association, that had established e-library in 25 schools, has extended the service in additional eight schools in the district in the recent period.

According to MONA, the e-library has been set-up at Kisani Secondary School, Bim, Rastriya Secondary School, Neptechour, Janapriya Basic School, Baranja, Mahendra Ratna Basic School, Baranja,Himanchal Secondary School, Nagi, Bishnu Rastriya Basic School, Kimchour, Beni Community School and Saraswoti Secondary School, Singa, in the third phase.

MONA Chairperson, Chakra Bahadur Thapa, said that the financial fund was collected by launching a campaign from a ‘facebook’ for the establishment of e-library.

E-library campaign was launched collaborating with Nepal Library Foundation and Non-Resident Nepali Association (NRNA) from last year with an objective of taking modern information technology in rural areas as well as to help improve the educational quality of community schools.

MONA has set a goal to set-up e-library at all 232 community schools of Myagdi.
