‘Educational institutions should emphasis on producing competent and capable human resources in order to meet the national aspiration for ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’ so that national prosperity grows’-shared Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli during the signing in ceremony of University Development Assistance Project Agreement between the Kathmandu University and Bridgin Foundation Belgium took place on Wednesday at Prime Minister’s official residence, Baluwatar.
The agreement was signed between Bridgin Foundation president professor Tanko Mouhamadou and KU vice chancellor and Dhulikhel Hospital’s founder Prof Dr Ram Kantha Makaju Shrestha on behalf of their respective sides.
PM Oli also said that “We have entered the phase of development and prosperity following the political transition. Equality, development and good governance along with social justice is our resolution,”. He also expressed his hope that educational institutions like the KU would do their best to produce competent human resources which is required to meet national aspiration for ‘prosperous Nepal, happy Nepali’.
PM Oli also stressed on that the project would be helpful to ensure community’s access to education and producing qualified human resources. The agreement also aims to construct development infrastructure in various sectors to ensure community access to education. Minister for Education, Science and Technology Giri rajmani Pokhrel was also present on the occasion.
