Human rights activists have argued that the violence could not be ended unless all kinds of discrimination and conflict were addressed properly.
Speaking in an interaction organized by National Human Rights Concern Centre on the occasion of 77th International Human rights Day on Friday, the speakers opined to end corruption, exorbitant price hike, domestic violence, rapes and other social discriminations.
Addressing the programme, Nepal Communist Party (NCP) leader and former Minister Janardan Sharma said although constitution has guaranteed the human rights, related institutions are not fully implementing the rights. Founder Chairman of the Centre, Mukti Pradhan, complained that the constitution was not implemented properly as per the aspiration of the people. National Human Rights Commission Member Prakash Wasti opined that the traditional mindset should be changed to implement the human rights in practice.
