Pokhara, April 15
Province 4 Chief Minister Prithvi Subba Gurung has said equal opportunities in education for all were the priority of the provincial government.
Speaking at an inaugural ceremony of the National Students’ Enrollment Campaign-2075 BS in Pokhara today, he stressed that each and every class and community in the society should have an access to quality education, seeking the attention of both people in the education field and guardians to improving the educational atmosphere in the country.
“Quality education is a must to address the problem of unemployment,” he asserted, expressing his concern over the inability of community schools to maintain quality education despite having sufficient resources.
On the occasion, he enrolled Shila Jirel and Abhishek Nepali, both five, to a nursery class at Shreekrishna Secondary School based in Pokhara Lekhnath Metropolis- 7 and took their guardianship as well. Both children are from the deprived and poor community.
