Customers will get upto 25% discount while paying via eSewa and FonePay network at Bigmart grocery store. The offer was launched in joint collaboration with Bigmart and eSewa with the objective of promoting digital payment in Nepal. This offer starts from Bhadra 1 (August 17) and will run till Bradra 31 (September 16). The offer will be available in all the 50 outlets of Bigmart. As per offer, the customers will be granted 25% discount while paying via eSewa and FonePay on the purchase of fruits and vegetables from 11 AM to 4 PM. Meanwhile, the 15 % discount will be provided from 5 am to 11 am in the morning and 4pm to 9 pm in the evening. The discount will be available up to the maximum of 300 rupees.
In order to promoted digital payment globally during this COVID-19 pandemic induced crisis, eSewa and Bigmart have launched this scheme to encourage digital payment in Nepal. This collaboration is expected to promote the habit of digital payment on retail transactions among the Nepalese people.
eSewa is the first digital payment service provider in Nepal. By using eSewa, customers can pay insurance premium, share transactions as well as mobile telephone, internet, electricity and drinking water bills, recharge, airplane and bus tickets, school and college fees, and many more. Currently, 50 banks and financial institutions have been associated with eSewa. Customers can easily load money in eSewa from these banks and send it to bank accounts from eSewa wallet. Meanwhile, Bigmart started their journey since 2009 from City Center, Kamalpokhari, Kathmandu. Currently, it operates 50 stores across the valley. Furthermore, bigmart also provides all kinds of daily necessities to the consumers under one roof.
