Film Development Board Chairperson Keshab Bhattarai suddenly demised last night due to cardiac arrest. He was 52 years old. Bhattarai who was an artist, film director and film producer movies like Aafno Manche, Chodi Gaye Paap Lagla, Devar Babu, and much recently released movie Yatra were some of his major hits.
Bhattarai went unconscious on the way back to home from a wedding programme. After being taken to Om hospital for treatment, doctors declared him death. Bhattarai has been taking medicine for high blood pressure since long.
Bhattarai’s mortal body was undertaken at Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital (TUTH) in Maharajgunj for post-mortem. However, after being guaranteed by the doctors as cardiac arrest for the reason of his death, Bhattarai’s death body had not gone through post-mortem.
Now, his mortal body has been kept at the sphere of Film Development Board for the condolence programme. Right now, a crowd of nepali artist and filmakers have reached there to express deep condolence. Then, after 4 his death body will be taken for cremated to Pashupati Aryaghat as per the information provided by the Film development Board.
On the other hand, Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has expressed sorrow over the passing of Bhattarai and artist Deepak Chhetri. He said the country has lost two talented artists in their demise. “We lost two talented persons in the last two days. Their work will always remain in our memory,” Prime Minister Oli stated in the micro blogging site, Twitter, today. PM has also extended heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved families.
