Prosecutors don’t want jurors to know that a prostitute — set to testify in a sensational City Hall corruption trial — also worked in porn and once donned Native American headdress in racy topless snaps, feds said in court filings on Tuesday.
Hooker Gabi Grecko is expected to take the stand in the federal prosecution of ex-NYPD Deputy Inspector James Grant, who is accused of accepting bribes from co-defendant – and Mayor de Blasio donor – Jeremy Reichberg.
Prosecutors asked a judge to bar defense lawyers from questioning Grecko – identified in court papers as “Prostitute-1” – about her work in skin flicks.
She also posted topless pictures of herself while wearing Native American headdress in 2016, and prosecutors want that fact to be off limits as well.
“Prostitute-1’s role in an adult film does not adversely reflect on her credibility or her character for truthfulness,” federal prosecutors wrote.
Grecko is not Native American, so taking sexy pictures while wearing the feathered garb could come off as racially insensitive, according to the US Attorney.
“Prostitute-1’s donning of a Native American headdress in photographs has absolutely not probative value … the prejudicial of the photographs far outweighs any theoretical probative value,” according to prosecutors.
The trial is set to begin on April 30.
