Federation of Nepalese Chambers of Commerce and Industry (FNCCI)’s Employers Council chairman Chandra Prasad Dhakal has called on employers and investors of the SAARC region to invest in Nepal.
In his address to the eighth meeting of the South Asian Forum of Employers kicked off from today in New Delhi, he said Nepal has guaranteed appropriate laws related to labour and social security which have led to the establishment of cordial relation between employers and workers and the political atmosphere is also suitable for the same.
Dhakal who is also the FNCCI vice-president said the building of investment-friendly atmosphere was expected in Nepal with the establishment of a stable government in the aftermath of long political transition.
He took a time to urge foreign investors to invest in Nepal’s agriculture, tourism, energy and service sectors for the attainment of bilateral and multilateral benefits.
On the occasion, he invited the SAARC’s investors to the Investment Conference that Nepal is hosting next month and to identify better and probable areas for investment. He added that the Government of Nepal was committed to building an investment- friendly atmosphere for foreign investors.
He was of the view that South Asia’s investors and employers could reap benefits on large scale from such type of forum, adding that we had both challenges and opportunities in the investment sector.
During the three- day event, the participants would try their best to determine their challenges and dig out their solutions, said Dhakal from New Delhi.
