The former chief judge of the then Pokhara Appellate Court, Madhav Prasad Chalise, has died of Covid-19. He was 70.
Chalise was suffering from heart ailments also. He breathed his last while undergoing treatment at Sahid Gangalal National Heart Centre, informs the family.
Chalise was admitted to the hospital on August 27, according to Chairman of Kathmandu Metropolitan City ward-3 Dipak KC.
While undergoing treatment, he was found infected with the coronavirus a few days ago.
A permanent resident of Maharajgunj, Kathmandu metropolitan city-3, Chalise had retired from the judicial service in July 2013.
