Former Minister Joshi goes back to coma

9 March 2021, Kathmandu

The health of former minister and central member of the Nepali Congress Nabindra Raj Joshi has started to deteriorate again.

He was admitted to Norvic International Hospital, Thapathali, on February 25, following which he underwent a surgery for brain hemorrhage.

Joshi’s heath condition started deteriorating from Saturday (March 6). He has been on ventilator support since.

Doctors involved in treatment of Joshi said he suffered from brain hemorrhage due to rise in blood pressure level.

Joshi is being treated by a team of doctors led by Dr Rajiv Jha.

“The former minister had started to recover after the surgery,” said Jha, adding that he required ventilator support since Saturday. “He is still in coma and his blood pressure level is normal.”
