Nepali Congress leader and former prime minister Nabindra Raj Joshi has set up a revolving fund of Rs one million at the Bir Hospital, in commemoration of his father the late Gajendra Raj Joshi. The fund is named the ‘Gajendra Memorial Fund’.
Spouse of the late Joshi, Geeta Joshi, handed the funds to Hospital Executive Director Bhupendra Basnet amidst a programme here today.
According to leader Joshi, the Fund is meant for the poor to assist them in medical treatment so that needy need to be deprived of the facility just due to financial lacks.
The Joshi senior had passed on January 19, 2018 at the age of 82.
