Talks were held between the government and the Rastriya Prajatantra Party today in response to the latter’s 32-point demand including restoration of a Hindu State. The dialogue was held at the Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs.
According to RPP spokesperson Bhuvan Pathak, the talks today ended with an agreement to meet against next week for further deliberations on some of the demands. The RPP was led by leaders Dipak Bohara and Niranjan Thapa.
The government side was represented by Law Minister Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal. It may be noted that the RPP has been staging protest and demonstration since Falgun 7 or February 19, demanding among others all-party conference to decide on the monarchy, establishment of good governance and reinstating Nepal as a Hindu State.
