Govt organizing civic felicitation program for 13th SAG medalists today

The government of Nepal is organizing a civic felicitation program in honor of the medal winners of the 13th South Asian Games (SAG) on Friday.

According to National Sports Council (NSC), a rally participated by the athletes will be conducted in the Kathmandu Valley in their honor. The rally begins from Tripureshwor  will pass to Indrachowk via New Road then to Ratna Park to Singha Durbar to Pulchowk to Lagankhel to Satdobato to Koteshwor to Sallaghari. The rally will return from Sallaghari to Koteshwor to Baneshwor and will finally end on the premises of the Tripureshwor-based NSC.

Meanwhile, the NSC has requested general public  to take part in the civic felicitation program to enhance  the morale of the players. Nepal won 206 medals including 51 gold, 60 silver and 95 bronze medals in the 13th SAG held on December 1-10.

Similarly, according to the Metropolitan Traffic Police Division the program will not affect the transport today.  According to the Division, the participants will use vehicles form the side lane and the dividers have been avoided to this effect.
