Health camp benefits over 15,000 people

More than 15,000 people have been benefited with an 11-day health camp organised by the Ministry of Health and Population with the support of Nepal Army at Rajbiraj.

A total of 15,134 people- 6,368 men and 8,766 women- received different types of health services at the camp concluded on Saturday, said Major Amar Bahadur Thapa at Nepal Army Bhimdal Battalion. Of them, 295 people underwent surgery.

Major Thapa said that medicines were provided free of cost to the patients. Treatment was provided to various health problems as gallstone, kidney stone, piles, hernia and mental problems, said Brigadier General at the Nepal Army Medical College, Dr Sushil Rawat.

A team comprising 126 health workers and specialist doctors were mobilized for the same.
