The reconstruction of historical Dharahara has gained momentum in a way to accomplish it by mid-September 2020.
Dharahara which was devastated by the 2015 Gorkha earthquake, a total of Rs 850 million has been spent so far for the reconstruction- shared Rajuman Manandhar, a heritage expert of the National Reconstruction Authority (NRA)
Manandhar also informed that almost 33 percent of works have been so far completed. The reconstruction contract was awarded to Raman Construction with the deadline of accomplishing it in two years.
A total of Rs 3.48 billion has been estimated to be spent to reconstruct the Dharahara.
Prime Minister KP Oli had, last year, laid the foundation stone.
Around 150 workers are being mobilized in the reconstruction of the tower every day.
