Minister for Home Affairs Ram Bahadur Thapa has directed the officials concerned to ensure effective security provision and strengthen the security system.
Addressing the central security committee’s meeting today, Minister Thapa directed to make security situation prompt to give a sense of better security to the commoners.
Saying that the government has kept nation’s development and prosperity in top priority, he pointed out the need of security assurance as the first precondition.
People’s verdict was for peace, good governance and stability, and added that the security bodies should work to discourage the forces that attempt to push the country towards instability.
On the occasion, Home Secretary Mohan Krishna Sapkota, Defense Secretary Binod KC, Chief of General Staff of Nepal Army Purna Chandra Thapa, Inspector General of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal, Inspector General of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha and Chief of National Investigation Department Dilip Regmi familiarized the country’s latest security situation.
