Homework begins for PM’s India visit: Leader Dr Bhattarai



Kathmandu, March 29

CPN-UML leader Dr Rajan Bhattarai has said homework was begun on setting agenda for the imminent visit of Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli to India.

During an interaction organized at Reporter’s Club here Wednesday, leader Bhattarai informed that PM’s visit to India would focus on strengthening of diplomatic relations and boosting economic activities between the two countries.

“Instead of raising many issues, we’re concentrated on infrastructure development. So, issues relating to hydropower, agriculture and air connectivity would be discussed,” he added.

Former Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dr Min Bahadur Shrestha, suggested that PM Oli prioritized the foreign investment, as the country has entered the political stability.

Time has come for the left alliance to address the commitment it made before the people during election, he underscored.

Similarly, former Vice-Chairman of the National Planning Commission, Dr Shankar Sharma, said issues relating to investment should be focused during PM’s India visit.

He also suggested the government to augment capital expenditure, because without capital spending creation of jobs was impossible.
