IGP Khanal directs for effective security arrangements for SAG guests

Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal has directed police personnel deployed at Tribhuvan International Airport to make security arrangements effective for the athletes visiting Nepal to take part in the 13th South Asian Games scheduled to begin on December 1.

Stressing the need to provide quick and proper treatment to the guests participating in the South Asian Games, he said it should be taken as an opportunity to provide security and service to them. He also directed the police to do their best to control smuggling and criminal activities at the airport. He made this direction in course of inspecting security equipment and resources at the airport.

Along with this, Metropolitan Traffic Police Division  said that there will be odd even regulation for vehicles during the opening and closing ceremony of the South Asian Games scheduled to be held from December 1 to 10. So,   vehicles with only odd number plates will be allowed to ply the roads inside the Ring Road during the opening ceremony. Similarly, vehicles with even number plates will hit the roads during of closing ceremony of SAG.
