Increasing cold has severely affected the normal life of central-eastern Terai including in Mahottari district. Cold wind that started blowing the region since Tuesday afternoon has added to the cold conditions. The temperature has been decreased rapidly accompanied by frost has made the life extremely difficult.
The rainfall that occurred since last week also increased cold and it has been further intensified with the cold wind and the frost. Areas close to the East-West highway in Mahottari have been seeing cold breeze along with frost. Similarly, heavy fog has covered in the central and southern areas of the district.
The daily act of the general people in the market has also decreased due to the cold weather. Agricultural activities have also been affected along with trade and business.
