Injured in Gorkha jeep accident airlifted to Kathmandu

The injured  in the jeep accident in Manbu of Gorkha district have been airlifted to Kathmandu.

The injured who have been rescued by a Nepal Army helicopter were admitted to Norvic International Hospital for further treatment.

A man identified as Kiran Rimal, ward secretary of Dharche rural municipality-6 died on the spot. Rimal originally hails from Lamjung.

Similarly, seven others including rural municipality chief Phulmaya Gurung sustained injuries when a Balero jeep, Ga 1 Ja 5505, met with an accident at Manbu on Wednesday evening.

They were heading to Kashigaun to participate in a disability ID card distribution program.

The other injured in the accident are Dhan Bahadur Gurung, Nisha Gurung, Sharmila Gurung, Keyar Singh Gurung of the municipality, Saroj Gurung of PHASE Nepal  and jeep driver Bal Chandra Gurung.
