Kathmandu, April 12
Inspector General of Nepal Police Sarbendra Khanal and IG of Armed Police Force Sailendra Khanal received their respective IG Insignia today.
At a function held at the Ministry of Home Affairs this morning, Home Secretary Prem Kumar Rai presented the badge to the two newly appointed IGPs. Both the IGs will assume office from today itself.
They were appointed to the post of IG by Tuesday’s meeting of the Council of Ministers.
Outgoing IG of Nepal Police Prakash Aryal and IG of Armed Police Force Singha Bahadur Shrestha retired on Wednesday due to the 30 years service limit.
