An international conference on non-violence and peace, 2075 is taking place on March 2-3 in Kathmandu.
To be organised in collaboration with the Shree Krishna Pranami Youth Council Nepal (SKPYCN) on the occasion of the golden jubilee celebration of the Nepal Jain Council (NJC), the conference aims to create a society without violence, said NJC President Phal Kumari Lalwani.
The theme of the conference is ‘non-violence and vegetarian lifestyle: base for a good life’. Great personalities from Nepal and India are scheduled to lecture on the impact of animal sacrifices on religion, society, tourism and human health, said the organiser.
Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal will attend the meeting as chief guest and Nepali Congress Spokesperson Bishwo Prakash Sharma as special guest, said SKPYCN President Namraj Dhakal.
