Italy, the second worst-hit country in terms of deaths, has 195 deaths in the last 24 hours taking the total to 29, 079 as of Tuesday morning.
The number of infection cases in the country has reached 211, 938 after 1,221 new cases were reported, the third highest in terms of infection cases, after Spain and America, according to Worldometer.
Currently, 99,980 people are undergoing treatment at various hospitals in the country, of which 1,479 are critical. Meanwhile, 82,879 have recovered after treatment.
Broke out in Wuhan City of China last December, the deadly virus has spread to 210 countries including two international conveyances across the world, killing 251,947 and infecting 3,641,204 people as of Tuesday morning.
