Japanese Ambassador to Nepal, Masamichi Saigo and Speaker of the House of Representatives Agni Sapkota met at the latter’s office in Singha Darbar of Kathmandu on Tuesday.
Ambassador Saigo expressing Japan’s support in areas such as socio-economic, technology, good governance, among others discussed with Speaker Sapkota in the meeting. He also congratulated Speaker Sapkota for his election on the post, wishing for the success of his tenure. Ambassador Saigo also assured support in Nepal’s technological advancements.
They also exchanged views on all aspects concerning the bilateral relations and mutual interests between the two countries. Speaker Sapkota thanked the Japan Government for its support to Nepal’s development endeavors, according to the Speaker’s secretariat.
It should be noted that Ambassadors of China and India have already met with Speaker Sapkota.
