The first meeting of the Council of Ministers of Province No. 2 has decided to provide employment opportunity to one member each of the martyrs’ family of the Madhes Movement.
The meeting of the cabinet held immediately after the swearing-in- ceremony of the Chief Minister and Ministers took a decision to this effect. The family members include parents, kids and spouse. Likewise, the widows of the martyrs would be given the first priority in the job.
The meeting also decided to take steps to revive the closed government-owned and semi-government industries and coordinate with the federal government to acquire internal and foreign aid for the same.
Likewise, Minister for Economic Affairs and Planning Bijay Yadav has been named as the Spokesperson of the Province Government.
After taking the oath of office and secrecy, Chief Minister of the Province No. 2 Lal Babu Raut said that priority would be given for good governance, education, health, road and irrigation for the development of the province.
Meanwhile, Upama Kumar Deb of Federal Socialist Forum has been elected unopposed as the Deputy Speaker of the Province No. 2.
