The judicial custody of rape-accused Krishna Bahadur Giri, popularly known as Siddhababa has been extended to seven days by the Sunsari district court on Monday.
Giri has been accused of raping his follower. This is the third time judicial custody of Giri has been extended following his rape allegation. According to a verdict by a single bench of judge Maniram Neupane, investigations into the incident would go on by keeping Giri at a hospital under the surveillance of the police, said Deputy Superintendent of Police Binod Sharma.
Giri, who was admitted to a hospital in Biratnagar after being accused of the rape, is receiving treatment for his health problems, said the police.
