Jwala promises to work for women issues

Karnali Province acting Chief Minister Prakash Jwala has vowed to work for ensuring over 51 per cent women’s participation in State Assembly apparatus.

Speaking at a programme organised to mark the 108th International Women’s Day at Birendranagar Thursday, he promised to contribute to developing the province into a women-friendly zone.

Province Social Development Minister Dala Rawal sought the role of province government to guarantee women’s rights.

Province lawmaker Sita Nepali and Chief District Officer, Sitaram Karki, among others present in the programme expressed happiness over increasing women’s participation in every areas of the society.
