The 10th meeting of the first session of Karnali Province’s State Assembly today constituted four parliamentary committees.
Those committees are legislation and province affairs; public account; natural resources and fiscal; and social development. Province lawmakers Chandra Bahadur Shahi, Jeevan Bahadur Shahi, Devi Wali, Dharmaraj Regmi, Padam Bahadur Rokaya, Bindaman Bista and Meena Singh Rakhal are the members on the legislation and province affairs committee while the public account committee comprises Karbir Shahi, Ganesh Prasad Singh, Gulab Jung Shah, Gopal Sharma, Jhowa BK, Dinbandhu Shrestha and Badmi Kwari Bohara, according to Province Speaker Raj Bahadur Shahi.
Likewise, Amrita Shahi, Ambar Bahadur Thapa, Kurma Raj Shahi, Dan Singh Pariyar, Dheer Bahadur Shahi, Yamlal Kandel, Sita Kumari Nepali, Soshila Shahi and Him Bahadur Shahi have been appointed on the natural resources and fiscal committee. The social development committee has Krishna Shah, Kaushilawati Khatri, Thammar Bahadur Bista, Padma Khadka, Yagya Bahadur BC, Raju Nepali, Rato Kami and Sushil Kumar Thapa as its members. The meeting unanimously approved the names of all four committees, the Speaker said.
Chairs of these committees shall be elected by the next meeting.
