Kathmandu Valley registers 723 new COVID-19 cases

As many as 723 persons have been infected with COVID-19 in the Kathmandu Valley in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, 531 cases have been confirmed in Kathmandu, 58 in Bhaktapur, and 61 in Lalitpur.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,490 people have been diagnosed coronavirus positive in the last 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has reached 2,36,246 with fresh cases as of Wednesday afternoon.

A total of 1,567 individuals got discharged from the hospitals in the past 24 hours while the number of people winning the battle against the virus reached 2,18,161 in the country.

Nepal currently has 16,547 active cases.

Likewise, 605 people are in quarantine facilities across the country at present.

As many as 9 people succumbed to the virus in the past 24 hours taking the COVID-19 death tally in the country to 1538, the Ministry confirmed.
