Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli is said to be remained in hospital for the next one week. Dibya Singh, private doctor to Prime Minister, has said that the decision whether Prime Minister Oli should go for kidney transplantation immediately or not has not been made.
“PM Oli health is improving soundly but it has not been decided yet whether he should go for kidney transplantation, nor the time and place has been finalized.”said Dibya Singh in the press conference organized at Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center inside the Tribhuvan University Teaching Hospital premises Friday morning.
Prime Minister Oli does not have any other health problems except for kidneys and his health condition is improving significantly after he underwent surgery for appendicitis on Tuesday morning. Despite ‘significant’ improvement in Prime Minister KP Oli’s health, doctors have advised him to ‘take rest’ in the hospital for another one week.
Doctors also said that PM Oli has started to eat solid food from today. He has also been suggested to refrain from holding meetings for another 10 days. PM Oli is still at the Intensive Care Unit of Manmohan Cardiothoracic Vascular and Transplant Center under the constant doctors observation.
A team of doctors led by Dr Ramesh Singh Bhandari conducted surgery for appendicitis of Prime Minister Oli on Tuesday morning. The prime minister has also been undergoing regular dialysis at the hospital after the kidney that was transplanted 12 years ago has stopped functioning.
