Biratnagar, April 5
(UML) senior leader Jhalanath Khanal has said no agreement had been reached with the CPN (Maoist Center) to unite the parties on a 50:50 ratio.
Talking to media persons at Biratnagar Airport Saturday, leader Khanal said the unification between the two parties would take place on the basis of mutual understandings between chairs of both political parties.
Stating that no agreement in writing had been reached between both parties regarding the unification matters, he said the ‘unified’ party would have two chairs for the time being and other matters would be sorted out through mutual understandings.
He expressed his confidence that the unification process would reach a conclusion on coming April 22. Political and organizational reports about the unification are ready and reports are positive towards the ‘people’s war’, according to him.
The former Prime Minister expressed his hope that the left government formed, following the recent elections to the House of Representatives and State Assembly would act through a fast track, finding the path towards development and economic prosperity for the nation.
