lighting has killed an elderly woman at Panchkhapan in Sankhuwasabha last night, police shared.
The incident took place when Dambar Kumari Rai, 52, was staying at her home.
According to the District Police Office, Sankhuwasabha, the deceased died on the spot when the lightning hit her.
Deputy Superintendent of Police Mim Lama stated that the body was brought to the District Hospital for post mortem.
Meanwhile, an elderly man was killed in a buffalo attack.
The deceased has been identified as Tularam Gurung, 64, of Khandbari municipality-11 in Sankhuwasabha district.
The domestic buffalo attacked Gurung leading to death while it was being taken to shed nearby the home, police said. The man died on the spot.
