The Chief of State-1 Somnath Adhikari ‘Pyasi’, has shared that media should play prominent role in order to effectively implement federalism.
Addressing at a programme organized with media persons on Monday, State Chief Pyasi reminded that journalists had played significant role on establishment of federal republic in Nepal. Now, time has come to enforce policy and system in a democratic manner, he added.
On a different note, he sought for media persons’ cooperation sharing that proper attention is needed to develop the sustainable tourism by maintaining balance the relations between human, earth and environment.
According to him, media persons could write on new tourist destinations to attract more tourists and investors in tourism sector. Chief Pyasi also stressed that the media persons need to protect the source of information carrying fact-based news.
On the occasion, State-1 Chief of Federation of Nepali Journalists, Bikram Luintel, senior journalist Yagya Sharma and Mohan Bhandari also urged media colleagues to play active role to make Visit Nepal Year 2020 campaign a grand success.
