Minister for Forest and Environment Shakti Basnet has urged the media sector to play constructive role and give inputs by fulfilling its social responsibility.
Speaking at a program in Jajarkot on Thursday, Minister Basnet said the role of the media is significant in to build a responsible society.
Minister Basnet said so in a discussion on the ‘Journalist Code of Conduct’ jointly organised by Press Council Nepal and Federation of Nepali Journalists.
Minister Basnet and central president of FNJ, Govinda Acharya, jointly inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Jajarkot chapter of FNJ.
Member of House of Representatives, Satya Pahadi, Karnali province assembly member Ganesh Prasad Singh, Press Council members Ishwori Ojha and Govinda Chaulagain, Karnali state general-secretary of FNJ, Dipendra Sharma, were also present on the occasion.
