A woman and her daughter were killed after being attacked by elephants in Geruwa rural municipality-1 in Bardiya on Monday night.
The deceased have been identified as Chanda BK, 37, and her three-year-old daughter Dipika BK of Geruwa Rural Municipality from the same district at around 10 pm.
The incident had taken place when the duo was sleeping in the courtyard of their house due to hot temperature.
The mother daughter duo was rushed to Nepalgunj Teaching Hospital at Kohalpur where they breathed their last during the treatment, according to the Hospital.
