The mountainous belt in the east Rukum witnessed snowfall on Friday. The snow blanketing mountains has been exuding beauty and radiance. With this, the snowfall has brought severe cold affecting the daily lives of people of the affected area.
The mountain range turning black with quick snow-melting owing to the climate change in the recent years has however been snow-capped lately.

Similarly, the snowfall in Dolpa district has badly affected the annual exam at schools that kicked off on Thursday. Upper and mid-hill of Dolpa is blanketed with snow, bringing biting cold.
However, the students are bound to sit in the exams. The snowfall and cloudy weather caused students shivering, said teacher Harish Joshi from Laxmi Secondary School at Thulobheri municipality. The students faced difficulty to write owing to numbness. The school has however made fire in its premises in a bid to fend off cold.
The snowfall has also affected Bajura district since Thursday afternoon. The upper parts of Martadi including Pokhare, Bichchhya, Dahakot, Jukot, Rurgin have witnessed heavy snowfall. Normal life has been affected due to snowfall in the region. Local markets and schools in some areas in the district have remained closed due to biting cold.
Meanwhile, doctors have advised the elderly, sick, women and children to put on warm clothes to protect themselves from the cold. However, the snowfall has brought cheers to the farmers who depend on rain for agricultural farming. With the snowfall, the temperature has dipped to 6 degree Celsius in the district.
