Music concert to be organised to raise awareness on HIV/AIDS

Nagarkot, Feb 12

The music concert is to be organized in 40 countries around the world on February 13 to generate public awareness on HIV/AIDS, coinciding with the International Condom Day.

An organization called ‘Suruwat’ is going to organize a concert at the premises of the Padma Secondary School, Bhaktapur Durbar Area in Bhaktapur on Tuesday.

The concert will feature a special performance by well-known artist Adrian Pradhan along with other local musical bands.

Suruwat’s president Rajendra Puri said the concert aims to create public awareness among the youth to promote the use of condom and stay away from HIV/AIDS and STDs.

A condom rally would also be organized from Taumadhi to Durbar Area in Bhaktapur on the occasion. Free HIV tests would also be provided to that connection, said Rajesh Didiya, Suruwat’s Director.

The music concert is being organized with the financial support of AHF Nepal under the aegis of the National Association of People Living with HIV/AIDS in Nepal (NAPN).
