With the aim of exchanging experiences and knowledge about latest development in science and technology in the South Asian Association for Regional Cooperation (SAARC) region, the National Conference of Young Scientists Conference, 2019 has commenced, today
The conference has been organised in collaboration between Environment and the Central Department of Hydrology and Meteorology, Tribhuvan University and Ministry of Industry, Tourism, Forest of province no. 3. The conference has been participated by more than 100 young scientists from SAARC countries and the United Kingdom, Finland and Germany. Former Prime Minister Madhav Kumar Nepal inaugurated the conference amid a programme here.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants emphasized investment in science and technology for country’s economic prosperity and social transformation. They also expressed the hope that the conclusions and suggestions from the meeting would help the state in the fields of science, technology, industry, tourism, forest, environment and climate change.
Former PM Madhav Kumar Nepal suggested that the government increases investment in science and technology, a key to carry out economy and social transformation in the country.
