Chief Minister of State-1, Sherdhan Rai, has said that natural resources should be utilized for the welfare of human being. At a programme on ‘Distribution of royalty of natural resources’ organised here on Wednesday, Chief Minister Rai suggested to utilize the natural resources keeping considering its impact on human beings.
He pointed out the need of coordination among three level governments regarding the use of natural resources by formulating necessary laws.
Similarly, Vice-Chair of State Planning Commission, Subodh Raj Pyakurel, stressed the need of managing mines keeping environmental damage in mind.
Mayor of Biratnagar Metropolitan City, Bhim Parajuli, said that attention should be paid on the damages caused by destruction of natural resources and demanded that the local level should get royalty of electricity.
Commission Chair Balananda Poudel, Secretary Baikuntha Aryal,among others also expressed their views.
