Nepali Congress President Sher Bahadur Deuba condoles on NA member Durga Prasad Upadhyaya’s demise. Deuba said that National Assembly member and general convention representative of the Nepali Congress, Durga Prasad Upadhyaya’s death is an irreparable loss to the nation and party.
Recalling Upadhyaya as a leader willing to work with the people in the village, President Deuba said the demise of Upadhyaya is the irreparable loss to the party.
At a condolence motion organized by the NC Parliamentary Party on Monday, President Deuba mentioned that late Upadhyaya had played an active role in the country’s democratic movement and party organization.
Similarly, NC General Secretary Dr. Shashanka Koirala said that he is saddened from the untimely death of Upadhyaya, adding that Upadhyaya would always be remembered for his contribution to the political and social sector.
Suffering from cancer for long, NA member Upadhyaya died in course of treatment on February 14.
