NCP passes condolence motion on demise of Minister Adhikari

Nepal Communist Party (NCP) has passed the condolence motion on the demise of NCP central committee member and Minster for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation, Rabindra Prasad Adhikari, in a helicopter crash in Taplejung on Wednesday.

A Secretariat meeting held at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today paid tribute to all the deceased and extended condolences to the bereaved families.

The meeting also paid tribute to Minister Adhikari, Managing Director of Yeti Airlines, Aang Tshiring Sherpa, Deputy Director-General of Civil Aviation Authority Nepal, Birendra Prasad Shrestha, and Director Durba Bhochhibhoya, Under-Secretary at the Office of the Prime Minister and Council of Ministers, Yubraj Dahal, Captain Pravakar KC and security guard of Minister Adhikari, Arjun Kumar Ghimire. Seven persons including Minister Adhikari were killed in Air Dyansty chopper crash on Wednesday.

Similarly, the NCP also decided to lower the party flag at half-mast today at all its offices in the honour of the deceased as well as to keep condolence book at party office for three days. The meeting took the decision to organize central condolence assembly from party headquarters on March 7.

The NCP decided to request the government for appropriate support to the families of the victims as per their financial status and necessity.

NCP Spokesperson Narayankaji Shrestha said that preparation was underway to keep the body of Adkikari at Tundikhel after post-mortem. The mortal remain of Minister Adhikari would be taken to Kaski for tribute.
