Nepal has clinched the title of ACC U-19 Eastern Region Cricket Championship held in Thailand.
Nepal won the title today defeating Malaysia by 59 runs in the match held at Chiyang Mai Cricket Ground, Bangkok. Nepal won the championship for the second time. Earlier, it had won the title defeating Singapore by 71 runs last year.
Electing to bat first after winning the toss, Nepal presented a target of 141runs before Malaysia.
Prashant Mahat top-scored with 40 runs for Nepal. Similarly, Deepak Bohora, Captain Bishal Bikram KC and Nikhil Kumar Singh made 23, 17 and 13 runs respectively.
In response, Malaysia was all out with 81 runs in 34.5 overs. Nepali bowler Bishal Kumar Patel took four wickets while Deepak Bohara three to help win the championship for their country.
