Nepal and Indian PM exchange New Year’s greetings

Prime Minister of Nepal K.P. Sharma Oli and his Indian counterpart Narendra Modi have exchanged New Year 2020 greetings on Wednesday through a telephonic conversation. As per Surya Thapa, the Prime Minister’s press advisor, PM Oli talked to Indian PM Modi over the phone at 10.30 am today.

In a tweet PM Oli said that he had telephonic conversation with Prime Minister of India exchanging new year’s greetings and best wishes. The two leaders during their conversation also expressed the confidence that the New Year 2020 would be successful in taking the relations between the two countries to a new height with the resolution of the outstanding issues between them.

Both prime Minsters have held talks regarding the border dispute that has arisen between the two countries when India included the Nepali territories Limpiyadhura, Lipulek and Kalapani in its political map.

On the occasion they exchanged the New Year 2020 best wishes and in the course of the conversation PM Oli thanked the Indian Prime Minister for the concern he showed towards his health and the best wishes as well. In course of the conversation, Prime Minister Oli urged his Indian counterpart to visit Nepal again.
