Nepal Army (NA) has set up quarantine camp with 7, 234 beds and isolation ward with 2,094 beds as part of its efforts to combat the coronavirus spread.
As shared by Brigadier General Bigyan Dev Pandey, spokesperson of the NA, “Nepal Army has set up a quarantine camp that can accommodate 7, 234 people and an isolation ward with the capacity to accommodate 2,094.”
Quarantine camps have been set up in all the seven provinces, said Pandey, adding, “A total of 1,010 people are currently staying in the quarantine camps across the country where a team of 196 medical persons have been deployed .”
Meanwhile NA has initiated the process to procure surgical goods worth Rs 170 million while the government has allocated Rs 100 million to it.
NA is procuring surgical items including masks, Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) among others.
