Nepal-China Himalayan Friendship Society (NeChiFS-Nepal) expressed deep sympathy to the government and people of the People’s Republic of china for the losses suffered from the novel corona virus outbreak as shared by the press statement on Thursday.
It also states that NeChiFS-Nepal share the optimism that the fast-paced medical research and preparedness demonstrated by the government of China providing huge confidence to the people around the world in combating the new virus.
As the outbreak of corona virus has been seen as serious global public health challenge, NeChiFS-Nepal solidarity remains with China in efforts of treatment of the infected people and prevention from spreading the virus worldwide. The society is also ready to support the Government of Nepal in any endeavor to towards combating the spread of the virus and in any effort that goes towards supporting China.
NeChiFS-Nepal also appeals to the Nepalese citizens living in China to stay strong, adopt precaution and alert in prevention from spreading the virus. The statement also mention that Government of Nepal in close cooperation with China should make necessary preparations in prevention of the virus in Nepal and if necessary evacuate Nepalese citizens back to their homes.
NeChiFS-Nepal also express deeply concern on the exaggerated news being published from Nepali media regarding the virus and urge everyone to be factual as well as sensitive while reporting. It also concerns that the Society like to reiterate to stand with people of China at this challenging time.
