Kathmandu, May 24
The newly unified Nepal Communist Party is holding its first Central Committee meeting on Thursday.
Two chairpersons of the party–KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal–will address the meeting to be convened at the PM’s residence in Baluwatar at 4 pm today, according to the party sources.
It has been learned that it is not the first formal meeting as the party is yet to finalise its statute and other legal documents.
Meanwhile, 441 Central Committee members have been told to bring their original citizenship certificates as the party has to submit them to the Election Commission for the party registration.
The formal Central Committee meeting will be called after the party registration and official endorsement of party documents.
