Nepal defeated to Scotland in ICC World Cup Qualifiers



Kathmandu, March 9

Nepal was defeated to Scotland in its second match under the ongoing ICC World Cup Qualifiers.

Scotland defeated Nepal by four wickets in a match played at Queens Sport Club in Bulawayo of Zimbabwe on March 8 (Thursday).

Earlier too, Nepal suffered a loss from Zimbabwe by 116 runs in the first match.

With this, Scotland gathered six points and secured its position in super six from group ‘B’.

Nepal is yet to take on Afghanistan and Hong Kong.

Put into bat after winning toss, Nepal made 149 runs at the loss of all wickets in 47.4 overs. In reply, the Scotland reached to 153 runs in 41.3 overs at the loss of six wickets.

Nepal’s bowlers Basanta Regmi and Sompal Kami took two wickets each while Lalitnarayan Rajbamshi and Dipendra Singh Eri one wicket each.

Except Cpaitain Parasa Khadka, no Nepali player performed well in the match. Khadka contributed 63 runs facing 75 deliveries.
