Nepal Overseas Chinese Business Association has donated the medical essentials to Bagmati Province of Nepal on Staurday to fight COVID-19.
Amid a special program held in Kathmandu, representatives of Nepal Overseas Chinese Business Association handed over the materials to Provincial Minister for Internal Affairs and Law Salikram Jamarkattel.
The medical donation includes 7,500 face cover and 5,000 face masks.
Receiving the assistance, the minister expressed gratitude to the Chinese organization for extending support during the time of pandemic.
He informed that the essentials will be distributed to security personnel.
He also took the moment to mention that Chinese support is crucial for the development efforts of Nepal.
Earlier, Nepal Overseas Chinese Business Association had extended similar support to the journalists of Province 3. The association has been active in various relief programs since the outbreak of COVID-19.
Nepal’s COVID-19 infection cases have crossed 16,000 mark with 36 deaths so far. The government has made the use of facial mask compulsory for general public to control the infection.
