Nepal to make 14-day quarantine compulsory for international arrival

23 November 2020, Kathmandu

All persons coming to Nepal from abroad will be kept in quarantine for 14 days.

Spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population, Dr. Jageshwor Gautam, said that they have written to the COVID-19 Crisis Management Center to keep all those coming to Nepal by land or air in quarantine for 14 days.

He said, “Testing will be done only if any symptoms are seen during the quarantine stay.”

As the risk of infection continues to rise, the government is tightening its policy of quarantining people arriving from abroad.
