Nepal’s Ajit Kumar Yadav has won the gold medal in the third Asian Youth Athletics Championship in Hong Kong. Ajit Kumar completed the 3,000-meter race clocking eight minutes and 30.32 seconds . He is associated with the Armed Police Force ( APF) club. First runner-up Amit Jangir of India completed the race in eight minutes and 36.34 seconds while Gamil al- Hamati of Yemen finished it in eight minutes and 38.60 seconds to win the bronze, the National Sports Council (NSC) said.
China, Japan, Chinese Taipei, Kazakhstan, Iran , South Korea, host Hong Kong, Singapore, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Thailand, Sri Lanka, Uzbekistan, Indonesia, Bhutan, Jordan, Kuwait, Lebanon, Macao, Maldives, Philippines, Vietnam, Qatar are also taking part in the championship.
